Asian manufacturing PMI rebounds, Chinas driving role is obvious
In March 2020, the Asian manufacturing PMI rebounded 5.9 percentage points from the previous month to 48.8%, a significant month-on-month increase. China's manufacturing industry has increased sharply by 16.3 percentage points to 52% on the basis of last month's economic activity being significantly affected by the epidemic, which is the main factor for the recovery of Asian manufacturing PMI this month. Judging from the trends of other countries, affected by the epidemic, the manufacturing PMIs of various countries have declined to varying degrees. Among them, the manufacturing PMI of South Korea, Japan, and Singapore fell by more than 3 percentage points; the manufacturing PMI of Vietnam, the Philippines, and Myanmar fell more markedly; under the impact of the continued decline in crude oil prices, the decline in manufacturing PMI of Saudi Arabia and the UAE continued from last month Expansion; India's manufacturing PMI fell within 3 points, and the index remained above 50%.
